MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. Israel has offered Russia assistance in the fight against terrorism following the St. Petersburg metro attack, Israeli Ambassador to Russia Gary Koren told TASS on Wednesday.

"There has been a message from our prime minister," he said. "I confirm that we have forwarded some proposals but I would like to refrain from going into detail."

According to the ambassador, Israel has always been ready to help in such situations. He added that Israel had vast counterterrorism experience but every country made its own decisions.

On the afternoon of April 3, a bomb exploded in a metro car between Tekhnologichesky Institut station and Sennaya Ploshchad stations in St. Petersburg. Law enforcement sources say that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber. According to Russian Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova, the blast killed 14 people while over 50 were injured.
